BOOK CIRCLE
From Friday 19 to Sunday 22 June
from 10:00 to 23:00
On the occasion of the fifth edition of the GU.PHO. Festival, the editorial programme expands with a space entirely dedicated to photobook publishing: this is how the Book Circle comes to life, hosted in the evocative Sala degli Specchi of the Castle of Guiglia.
Independent publishers, specialised bookshops, and editorial projects will present a selection of publications offering visitors the opportunity to explore some of the most compelling contemporary research related to vernacular, anonymous, and archival photography, also through the medium of the photobook.
The distinctive nature of GU.PHO.’s Book Circle lies precisely in the publications on display: books and editorial projects that, in most cases, use vernacular, anonymous, or archival materials as a starting point for constructing new narratives, reflections, and reinterpretations of reality.
