Fondazione Home Movies – Archivio Nazionale del Film di Famiglia in Bologna is the first Italian archive dedicated to the preservation, digitisation, and promotion of private and amateur cinema. Founded in 2002, it preserves more than forty thousand small-format films from across Italy. Through digital projects, educational activities, and the festival Archivio Aperto, it promotes and makes accessible private audiovisual memory as a historical, social, and creative heritage, encouraging both research and contemporary reuse.

Elisa Giovannetti is an archivist and cultural project designer. Her work focuses on the processes of building and activating archives as tools for creating connections between heritage and communities, and she is president of the cooperative Ebla.

Gian Marco Magnani works in cultural project design in the fields of photography and cinema. Since 2010 he has been collaborating with the Fototeca Manfrediana in Faenza, where he is dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of local photographic archives, exploring the relationship between visual heritage and territorial identity. He is president of the Cineclub Il Raggio Verde and organisational director of the NOAM Faenza Film Festival.

The Fototeca Manfrediana is a non-profit cultural institution active in Faenza since the seventies. In 2010 it was relaunched under new management, which expanded its activities and photographic archive, now among the most organised and frequently consulted in the Faenza area. It preserves and promotes over one hundred and fifty years of local visual memory, promoting photography as a language and a tool of collective identity through exhibitions, publications, events, and research projects.

Giorgia Padovani is the co-founder and co-artistic director of GU.PHO., as well as president of GU.PHO. – Center for Vernacular Photography. She works in the field of cultural project development, with a particular focus on photography and participatory practices through independent projects and with the Modena-based collective Mo’Better Football, with which she develops exhibitions in Italy and abroad.

In the editorial field she has various collaborations including La Biennale di Venezia where she coordinates the catalogue of the Biennale Musica and the Biennale Teatro, as well as the project Scrivere in residenza.

Elvira Tonelli is a conservator specialised in photographic materials and works on the recovery and preservation of historical archives. Her practice highlights the role of materiality in the survival of images and in the transmission of memory.

Silvia Ferari graduated in Arts, Music and Performing Arts (DAMS) at the University of Bologna and worked as a curator at the Civic Gallery of Modena, organising exhibitions and events while overseeing exhibition and publishing projects. Since 2015, she has been working for the Emilia-Romagna Region, where she currently serves as Head of the Regional Museum System. Her work focuses on museum accessibility and cultural welfare. In the field of photography, she coordinates a project mapping regional photographic collections and promotes initiatives aimed at enhancing and interpreting the territory, including Paola De Pietri’s From Winter to Winter campaign and the exhibition series Images from the Countryside of Emilia-Romagna. She is also the regional coordinator for the project dedicated to the reorganisation and digitisation of the Guido Guidi Archive, funded jointly by the Emilia-Romagna Region and the Municipality of Cesena.
