Processi delle intenzioni – chi è l’altro?
by Daniele Francesconi and Chiara Capodici – ITA
Thursday 18th June h. 9.00 pm
Sometimes determining where the position of the “self” ends and that of the “other” begins is more difficult than it seems. Who is the narrator? Who is being narrated? Can turning our gaze toward what we consider our most familiar horizons help us recognise the lenses through which we filter our perception of the world? And can we return to engage with this elusive “other” with a gaze that is more clear-sighted, yet still capable of wonder?
This conversation will revolve around two interconnected poles. On the one hand, it will question the limits of authorship and explore how authorship itself often dissolves in practice within a more complex apparatus. On the other, it will examine the dynamics of interpretation when images come into the hands of a gaze other than the one that originally produced them.
